Miw-sher was born the only daughter of a nomadic Munan hunter; Her mother having stopped her hunting only long enough so that she could visit one of the stationary Munan encampments to give birth. Left behind she spent most of her younger days following a ragtag group of children that had been left by their families as well and came to bond a close friendship with three in particular. She was taken in at a young age by a gentle old man that was adept in the art of glassblowing; he taught her all that he knew as she grew.

At the age of twelve, she discovered her insatiable wanderlust and would spend days traversing further and further around the encampment. On one such foray into the unknown, she stumbled upon a scrawny wolf pup that was tearing into some carrion meat. The wolf was by no means large, but was hungry and attacked in defense of its food. Quick on her feet, Miw-sher managed to jump out of the way just as the pup’s teeth grazed her leg before returning the attack with a savage kick to the canine. When the wolf retreated she returned back to her camp as quickly as she could, afraid of more members of the wolf pack showing up. Unknown to her, the wolf finished its meal and padded silently behind.

Weeks passed and the wolf would follow behind or alongside with several meters between them, but never out of sight. He adopted the name of Ashkii after several of Miw-sher’s attempts at getting him to respond to some kind of calling. Several of her friends had also encountered wolves of varying ages and had somehow formed a bond just as she had; soon all four humans and their counterpart wolf shadows could be seen padding across the sands. Together the band formed a group of hunters and not long afterward decided to leave the encampment entirely in pursuit of larger game.

Years have passed and the group has become almost like one body in its motions. They no longer need to speak to communicate to each other what is to be done during a hunt, or which animal they are working together to bring down. For the most part, they stay out in the wilds, tracking and killing beasts and then salting the meat down and cleaning the hide before continuing to the next hunt. They trade the meat they don’t eat to other bands of Munans they see along the way for items they cannot obtain for themselves. On such short connections with other people, they learn of the news of the rest of their countrymen and those that border the lands they inhabit.
